But forever's a word, that's often left unsaid.

Time goes by, and love fades away,
Leaving us with memories, of a love that's gray.
We're left to pick up, the pieces of our heart,
Wondering where forever, fell apart.

Forever is a lie, a word we use in vain,
A promise we can't keep, a love that will wane.
But still we hold on, to the hope in our hearts,
That forever might be, a love that never departs."
